My best decision yet!

This charming stay stole my heart! The quirky, uneven floorboards added to the character, while the warm conversations with the ever-accommodating host Jeff made me feel right at home. And oh, that breakfast spread was a delightful showcase of fresh produce. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable experience!

What’s great and what’s not

Jeff’s warm welcome and engaging conversations made us feel at home. The charming room, complete with antique furniture, created a delightful atmosphere for our stay.

Parking can be a challenge, and the steep stairs may not be ideal for everyone wishing to carry luggage in or out.

The charm of the historical character really stands out, and the breakfast variety was absolutely delicious. It’s the kind of cozy place where you feel right at home, with a warm ambiance that makes for a lovely stay.

The hot water takes a while to kick in, which can be a bit annoying, although it was pointed out at check-in. The ensuite bathroom I had felt cramped due to a sloping ceiling, and the shower curtain needed a serious clean. Plus, accessing my room required climbing a steep wooden spiral staircase that might be a challenge for those with mobility issues. And parking is another headache—getting a spot can be tricky, so prepare for a bit of a hunt if you’ve got a larger vehicle.

All good, fulfills its purpose. Charming antique decor with a homely touch.

The owner is exceptionally welcoming and goes out of his way to assist guests. reaching my room involved navigating a steep, winding staircase, which might be challenging for some. The bathroom in my room felt cramped, particularly due to the low ceiling, and the shower curtain was in need of cleaning. While the parking situation was a bit tricky, there are convenient spots within a short distance.

The Old Stables B&B has a delightful, cozy atmosphere that truly feels like home, complemented by Jeff's helpfulness in sharing local insights and tips. Although the stairs to access the room might be a challenge for some, the charm of the antique decor and comfortable bed make it worthwhile.

Just a solid selection for a short break in Winslow with value for money. The owner offered to help with my bags, which was appreciated. When staying, try to find street parking early to save time.

Charming property, friendly host, with ample space for comfort in the clean, tidy room and a well-equipped sitting area that includes an electric kettle and flat-screen TV.
